STOP STREETS LITTERING 🚮OR FACE TROUBLE; SANITATION MINISTER

The Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Mrs. Cecilia Abena Dapaah has warned that people who habitually litter the streets should refrain their act before they are arrested and prosecuted.

According to Mrs Dapaah, there are law that prevent people from littering but they are not applied and therefore his outfit, together with sanitation taskforce,  as well as the traditional authorities will deal amicably with people failed a victim in the act.

“We will leave no stone unturned in the application of these law, and will go to all length and breath to enforce the law work. We have begun prosecuting sanitation offenders already but we will continue to do more and ensure that these people are dealt with accordingly,” she disclosed this on Okay FM in Accra,  monitored by Damak sanitation and Health News.A

She said though a number of bins have been distributed already to prevent littering, the taskforce would be forced to work effectively on  arresting more in order to bring sanity.

She said they have made some arrests recently and fined them after educating them, but since the behaviour of the individual's  of the public has not changed yet the application of the law would continue to play its role.
