She stressed on individual's abased positive attitudinal towards sanitation, which she urged should be improved to a regular standard.
That not with standing, she further appealed on parents that, "POSTERS", which the children coloured according to their gus to should be subsequently stuck on the fridge at home (as a visual reminder of regular hygiene).
There was also a section for 'drama Display'. During French lesson, they acquired the vocabulary of hygiene and general sanitation in French.
The motive behind was that, most children in Nima hail from a French-speaking background (Togo,Mali,Burkina,Niger) etc. Thus, through acting in a numorous way, their families are also addressed and involved. By Akgri M. Daniel
SANITATION, THE MAJOR CHALLENGE IN KUMASI, DAMAK SANITATION WATCH The CEO of Damak sanitation watch, Mr. Akgri Daniel said the desire to take effective measures to manage sanitation in Ghana has become a major challenge rocking stiffer shoulders with the country. According to him, improper dispose of waste keeps accelerating at a very top speed and this has undoubtedly rained strange diseases on the Ghanaian citizens.
He said sanitation is not a blaming game that should be played on the shoulder of government.
Hence, appealing to residents of Kumasi to support efforts at transforming the city into a modern state. Mr Akgri said all stakeholders, especially traders, vendors, hawkers and visitors had to play their part to ensure that Kumasi regained its envious status as the ‘garden city’ of West Africa.
Piorier to this year's Independence Day celebration for the first time in history to be held in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi, Mr. Akgri pointed out that despite efforts by the Regional Minister, Mr. Simon Osei Mensah and the Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), Mr. Osei Assibey Antwi, to keep the city clean, some residents still disposed of refuse indiscriminately and lived in filth. He said it is time all well-meaning residents rallied behind the Mayor to ensure discipline and sanity in the city, especially at the central business district including the new Kejetia Market and the surrounding communities within the Kumasi metropolitan Assembly and beyond.
He stressed on the need for the existing bye-laws on sanitation to be enforced to stop hawkers from trying to sell on the pavements of the central business districts. He further on urged residents to rekindle their communal spirit and embark on voluntary cleaning up exercises to clear silt from choked gutters as well as weed bushy and swampy areas, to help keep the city clean. Garbage bins placed at vantage points must also be emptied on time when they became full.

CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK IN CHINA

CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK:COALITION OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS CALL FOR QUICK EVACUATION OF GHANAIAN STUDENTS STUDYING IN CHINA
Over the past few weeks, the outbreak of coronavirus in China has become a matter of international interest. Due to the deadly nature of the virus, several Chinese educational institutions have quarantined students to prevent them from contracting and further spreading the virus which has claimed hundreds of lives and infected thousands.
Although, in as much as the Chinese government is helping to contain and ultimately eradicate the virus, it remains the duty of every nation to ensure the safety of its citizens irrespective of where they find themselves. Several countries, including Japan, The United States of America, United Kingdom, Korea, Morocco and Ethiopia have in this regard, arranged to evacuate their citizens.
This has caused the coalition of University students in Ghana, led by Mr. Ebenezer Assan ( convener), at the Cape Coast Technical University to call for quick evacuation of Ghanaian students studying in China through press release today Monday, 10th February, 2020. Unfortunately, this is not the case in Ghana!
The China chapter of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) and the University Students Association of Ghana (USAG), have since the outbreak of the virus, appealed to government to evacuate them back to Ghana to prevent any possible contraction of the disease.

The lockdown of Huwan has made life far more difficult and uncomfortable for our colleagues in China. Ghana government's continuos and unrepentant neglect of our colleagues in China is not only regrettable but also morally unjustifiable and unconscionable.
Living in such a tensed atmosphere is really difficult and frauatrating for most students particularly those who work to finance their education. According to the coalition, they have had extensive conversations with their colleague students and emotionally shared in their sentiments, with the thinking that their are living in constant fear and are exposed to extreme health risks which has serious repercussions on their mental health.
It is refreshing however, to note that no Ghanaian student in China has contracted the virus yet. It will therefore be proper to quickly evacuate them back home to prevent any infection and possible loss of lives. Hence, they passionately calling on the Government of Ghana to, as a matter of urgency, immediately take steps to evacuate their colleague Ghanaian students receiving education in China back to Ghana without delay.
The coalition said, will decide their next line of action if government fails to heed their call which is premised on the official position of Ghanaian Students in China.
