Esaase And Akom Communities Battles With Sanitation Issues…As Assemblyman Intensifies Efforts To Fix Situation.

Residents of Esaase and Akom communities under Denase Eletoral Area in the Afigya Kwabre East Distract are in battle with sanitation issues but the Assembly man of the area has intensified efforts to confront the situation before it get out of control.
The Assembly man, Mr Obed Kwarteng stressed that currently Esaase old buller has been cleared and a container to collect subsequent waste is now a problematic. However, he’s still working assiduously to resolve the Akom sanitation issue as well.
The two communities are predominantly farming communities where most of them are peasant farmers. Development in the two communities are not improve of which the Assembly man expressed worry about the nature of road network as a situation confronts farming activities.
Mr. Kwarteng told Damak Sanitation Watch and Health Team when they visited the two communities that earl sex and it precautions are normal even though few cases of teenage pregnancies were recorded at the time Junior High Students were about to write their finally year exams. But when the team contact some of the residents especially females in the Esaase community, the expressed worry about the conduct of young girls averred that the situation, when not handle with care will taint the image of the community. ‘Surprisingly, they say, some parents are even luring their wards to engage in an indecent dress for reasons best known to them alone’’.
That notwithstanding, Mr. Obed Kwarteng contended further that his prime objective as an assembly man, is to facilitate an excellent, united administrative work to ensure the two communities can also have a fair share of the national cake. Hence, he called on residents to conduct themselves in a manner that will not bred violence. He also urged politicians to be guarded with their campaign languages to promote peace before, during and after the December 7 presidential and parliamentary polls.
